Urban Bowl Planters
These urban styled planters are ideal for terraces and balconies where durable but lighter weight planters are required.
Simple and classic planted up with succulents or grasses.
They are manufactured in high quality reinforced fibreglass, with the upper edge reversed twice which gives a classic timeless appearance. The planter is sturdy. The reinforcement has been extended into the corners, which prevents splitting. The fibreglass is dyed through, and the planter will retain its colour. Fibreglass planters are frost-resistant and strengthened to prevent warping. Always place on a flat surface.
The standard colour is black grey, but other colours can be ordered (please contact us separately on 0345 605 2505) subject to an additional charge and lead-time.
If planting the planter up with plants: A hole needs to be drilled into the base of the planter to allow for good drainage. Insert the overflow pipe into the drainage hole.
The drainage holes are marked at the base of the planter and there are drainage channels in the base so any water runs down through the planter and out through the overflow pipe.
Cover the bottom of the planter with about 10 cm of hydro pellets.
Place a permeable anti-root membrane over the drainage material.
Cover the membrane with soil suitable for your chosen plants.
Keep the drainage holes clear so that excess water can run off.
